R.I.P
A man who was misunderstood, berated and condemned yet still eclipsed everyones hearts with his music and his words. He will be missed, may his suffering be eased and his happiness be intensified and his love be strengthened.

Aberystwyth, a small coastal town in mid wales. Doesn’t seem like it has a lot of activity going on there, and yes, on the exterior it does appear to be like this. Just recently, I was watching a program where Aberystwyth was shown, and it reduced me to tears. Now, I imagine you all think that I’m a Grade A nut case but the reason as to why I felt so emotional is because I did my degree there, and had the best time. Some might even say the time of my life. I can’t really tell you why I chose Aberystwyth as my destination to spend four years of my life (it may have something to do with the fact they offered me low grades and my then boyfriend studied there) but almost felt drawn to the place, even though I had never even seen or been there before. I’ll never forget the feeling of excitement when we rolled up in our full car, just the fact that I could see the sea was enough for me. My mum kept asking whether or not I would enjoy it there as it looked completely desolate and to a certain extent I understand where she was coming from. However, from the first night I ever spent there I knew that I was going to enjoy myself as my first night out was phenomenal. We went to a place called ‘The Glen’
which at the time was a great pub with a fantastic night life. It has now become more a low key place, but if your looking for a gorgeous pint
overlooking Cardigan bay during sunset, this is the place to be. Its beautiful. During my first year, I avidly avoided doing any study of any kind which meant I got to know very well the sights and sounds of sunny Aberystwyth such as the Varsity Bar for great cheap meals (on a student Budget), Rummers Pub which is great fro meeting up with friends and enjoying a chat and listening to local bands (also great for shots) and of course how can I forget good old Cambrian, the best cocktail bar in the whole of MId Wales. Even though it doesn’t really do all the classics, it has a great mixture of cocktails that mean something to Aber students such as drinks named after societies and accommodation. I spent many a drunken hour there, often dressed as something bizarre, like a fairy or a nurse. Ha ha those were the days. Then again, I just loved and still do love Aber for its sheer uniqueness with the boutiques and individual sub climate of RAIN! ha ha! I guess the point that I’m trying to aim at is that even though it looks so small and boring, its full of life. I ask you to try to find a single student who went there and didn’t have a mind bowing time. I will never forget my time there, I had good and some very bad times, but it was an unforgettable experience and one that I would gladly repeat over and over again.

After having waited for sooooo long, I finally got the chance to watch the new Sex and the City Movie. Now, I must admit, I was a little skeptical about the contents and whether or not the shows producer, Darren Starr, was really capable of pulling this off. So, in I went expecting to see gratuitous sex scenes and non stop talk of willies and the such like. Although the version I saw wasn’t perfect quality, not at one single point did it hinder the film. It was just sheer bliss in two and half hours. The film picks up five year after the last season was shown on TV, and I was not expecting it to be that way. Although my beloved Sarah Jessica Parker has gotten a bit skinnier and looks more haggard, the outfits she wore were truly fantastic capturing the true essence of Sex and the City series. I would kill for those Manolo Blahniks she carried into her new apartment you know the ones, the royal blue satin stilettos with the diamond brooch (cue dribble session!)
. They were stunning!!! Cynthia Nixon looked in realy good shape, and my heart bled for her character, Miranda, during her difficult times. I cried a LOT!! And now her son Brady is like 6 years old, he is so cute, but just a little bit too ginger! lol, only Joking, he is such a sweet little boy. Kim Catrall looked, in one word, FABULOUS, for a maturer lady she has a body to die for, and I would do anything just to look like her right now. However, I thought her acting was a little wooden, but she is still by far the comic genius for me! And last, but by no means least, sweet Charlotte (kristin Davies) was sweet and lovely throught, and her realtionship with her daughter Lily was just soooo cute. With Charlottes main theme, I cried and cried and cried. Im such a baby. I must admit, I watched this film with baited breath, and cried when the girls did and laughed when they did also. It was absouloutly fantastic, however, I do think Big is an IDIOT, but I shall not spoil it any further for you….ENJOY the trailer. Mwah xxx

Well, I really think that the biggest highlight of my week has certainly been the season 4 Finale of Lost! Wow!! How amazing was that…I was very upset at the Finale of season 3 as my favourite character was unduly killed off which I thought was competely unfair to say the least. Needless to say, this season Finale was incredible, explosions, deaths, tears and much folly, It’s just a great big shame that I have to wait until next year for season 5. Although, I must admit, I’m not too sure If I would like to see it as another of my favourite characters has been killed off and its getting too much to bear!Yikes! My only rant regarding the entire season is that we didn’t see nearly enough of Sayid and Hugo…Sayid for his bravery and damn good-lookingness and the Hugo just for his comic value. What a duo. Without spoiling the ending for anyone who has yet to see it, all I will say that it is a little far fetched however gives plenty of scope for a few more seasons. There endeth my plot spoilers!

Well well well, for a company who specialize in Maths, and who deal with millions of pounds a day, the SLC UK have made a pretty serious boo-boo in my opinion. Albeit my abililty in Maths isn’t that great, even I was able to fathom out my Student Debt conundrum…..here goes:-
Amount left to pay +/- £14,000
Monthly Payments £15
Monthly Interest £50
Ok, here’s the interesting part, the lovely lady at SLC UK told me that Student Debt gets cleared at 60, wiped clean so to speak, good good. So, I have 36 years left until I turn 60.
50 x 12 (12 months in a year) = £600 600 POUNDS A YEAR IN INTEREST ALONE!!!!!
15 X 12 (Months in a year of course) = £180 I’m starting to detect an error….
600 x 36 (years left until I reach 60) = £21,600
180 x 36 = £6480 Ok, now I’m laughing/concerned
And the best part….
14,000 My Student Debt so far
+ 21,600 36 years of interest @ £50 per month
= 35,600
- 6,480 Amount that I will have paid back by the time I turn 60
= £29,120 This is the amount of Student Debt I will have when I turn 60, lets just hope they do as it says on the tin and wipe it off at 60, because if not, I’m going to be super poor! Maybe I should have thought about this more before I decided to do a degree….definitely something to think about…xxx

Woo Hoooo, this is blog number three and although I am still unsure of what to write, I’m still thoroughly enjoying my cathartic experiences! Well, as I mentioned in my previous blog, this weekend was more than carnage in terms of drinking and Eurovision….Nick and I had probably one of the biggest and most dangerous arguments of our relationship! It was a very scary experience for the both of us, especially me as the sheer realization of that I could actually lose Nick was sickening. Needless to say, the argument dread was a product of my stupid selfishness and blisters (I blame the high heels!) and maybe that of the alcohol talking too. I will never forget the feeling of when Nick just walked away, at that time supposedly never to be seen again. My heart broke the very moment that my mouth went into overload, and I am so happy, relieved that he forgave me. In fact, since the argument, life has been so much more relaxed, sweeter, even more perfect. Ok, so this blog is a bit gay, a bit mushy, but this is really the only way I can convey my feelings with reducing to tears. I’m sorry Nick, I love you! Luboo xxx

Goodness gracious me!! What a complete and utter waste of time, of course due to the blatant block voting from the ever so friendly Eastern Europeans. As it a time honored tradition amongst students (alas, I am not a student but I do love a good old dose of European cheese) Nick and I held our Eurovision party, whose rules are very simple, drink, drink and drink. Unfortunately, we were only five party goers, but we still managed to revel in the delights that were thrown before us. The winner, a rather boring and inane Russian version of Justin Timberlake, did not by any means tickle our fancy. We were not amused! This guy had already been suggested a winner by good old Wogan as Russia seem to be doing everything right at the moment (ahem, paying for the success), even having a gold medalist figure skater was just a tad out of order….Poor old Rodolofo Chikilicuatre. “El Chiki Chiki” was just pure genius, and he only came in at 15th place, such a shame for pure comedy genius….PERREA PERREA!! However, my overall favorite were the Latvian Pirate, HAR HAR….
They were fantastic! Apart from the fact that Spain pretty much crashed and burned and the UK were victims of good old tactical voting, a good night was had by all, especially the sheer carnage that was had by all afterwards, next time, I think we should reconsider the strawberry Vodka next time…*hic*
