Decisions, decisions…..

Hello hello hello! I’m not a great big fan of the beautiful game and nor am I a great supporter of any specific team but I can’t help but find myself in a bit of a pickle about who to support during the Euro 2008. As our beloved England failed to qualify, I find myself in a bit of a quandary. Having perused the teams that are in the championship, I have already come to the conclusion that I definatley do not want Italy to win as I have been wisely informed that they can be dirty cheats with their excessive diving, as can be the Portuguese. Giving the fact that I speak French, I hold a little soft spot for them, but I’m not a huge fan of their team and nor do I know anything about their players. As I have never been to Eastern Europe, I do not feel any kind of inclination towards those teams and nor do I for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Greece and Sweden. Turkey, after having holidayed there countless times, I feel like I really hold a little flag for them too. However, Given now that I live in Spain, they have become the team that I will be supporting during these championships and the majority of their team plays for the British League. I don’t think I will be putting a bet on them to win because realistically, France and Germany and maybe even Portugal are the stronger teams, but one can dream, and I look forward to watching the games with perfect caña (half pint!)
